Various climate protection projects worldwide
The non-profit organisation atmosfair develops and operates various climate protection projects all over the world since 2004. These projects are financed by so-called carbon offsetting contributions, which private individuals and companies calculate on the basis of their CO₂ emissions and can then donate to atmosfair. The money that is donated is allocated to a particular project by the donor.
Most recently, our contribution was given to a project in India, where electricity is generated from harvest residues. We found this idea simply ingenious: energy without fossil fuels, produced by renewable energy sources - and all this for the benefit of impoverished smallscale farmers, who can thereby secure an additional income for their families.
